Tip Tuesday: Lift and Separate

Tip Tuesday: Lift and Separate

Hi everyone, Elliott here with another tip Tuesday for you!

When you wear your binder you want to remember to lift and separate your chest underneath the garment.  Allowing the tissue to point downwards for prolonged periods of time has the potential to lead to tissue damage that may no longer make you eligible as a candidate for top surgery if that’s your end game.  But lifting and separating out the tissue can allow it to be compressed over a larger surface area, allowing the pressure to be taken off a more specific point.  Plus, you have the chance to create a more masculine silhouette by manipulating the tissue to wear pectorals would more naturally form!

So once you’ve gotten your garment on make sure to get your hands in their and lift and separate your chest out!
